Connected Learning through Poetry

This month I'm a poet-in-residence with Connected Learning MOOC (#CLMOOC). We have created a Poetry Port where people can request a poem or write/create a poem using a Word of Day prompt related to connected learning. Read the full details here: https://clmooc.com/come-sail-into-the-poetry-port/

In the haiku shown above I took three daily words and combined them over a stand-and-sketch. The idea was taken from this video where the artist made 1 minute sketches while walking. Featured in this drawing is the communications tower that appears to dominate the landscape. This is a constant reminder that the only way to be able to share this work, in this way, is through these ugly structures. The beauty of nature overrides this and provides me with a daily window into the arid desert landscape.
