In this poem I'm thinking about how things merge and combine. Like waves on the sand, each are individual but blend into the seascape. Inspired by the works of Anthony Etherin who works in such tight constraints, I've created a tetrameter poem that can be split for two dimeter sonnets.

I wrote this poem for Dr John Rae who is an artist/educator that I have worked with before. He paints diptychs which mimic this style of poetry, joining two panels to create a full picture but each panel could stand alone.

Writing poems for others is part of the #CLMOOC Poetry Port project.
