Farewell to what no longer is
not because it was right
not because it was right
Unfathomable Sea!
but because it happened
to free myself
to be available for other things
whose waves are years
prepare a quiet space
breathe
thou shoreless flood
acknowledge what was
name the facts
...brackish with the salt of human tears!
what actually happened
be angry
be sad
be hurt
feel the grief
vomitest thy wrecks on its inhospitable shore
write the letter
say goodbye
treacherous in calm
burn the letter
and terrible in storm
acknowledge what brings life energy
this is not the end of my story
who shall put forth on thee
this story no longer holds me
Unfathomable Sea?
